Summary

Student at 年入蘇州美術專科學校 from 1927 to 1929, later transferred to 上海美專西畫系. Self-published comics with other students, and eventually began working for Modern Sketch 《時代漫畫》 and 《申報》. Organized a national exhibition in 1936 and joined the Anti-Japanese Manhua Propaganda Corps 漫畫宣傳達隊 led by Guo Moruo 郭沫若 in 1937. After the Civil War began working at the 上海市人民美術工廠, transferred to the 上海人民美術出版社 in 1953. Later worked as an editor for 《新華日報》 and 《解放日報》, continued to publish comics in periodicals such as 《人民日報》、《解放日報》、《漫畫》、《諷刺與幽默》.
